It's an avalanche of feels I could not stop reading!
Another spectacular cast of characters, and storyline in this standalone, in the Enguard Protector Series.
I cannot wait for the next one!

Riker is a hot, single dad working a dangerous job with Enguard security. He's sole focus in life is his daughter, Em. She is incredibly intelligent and an all around great kid. All he wants to do is be a good dad and provide for her future.

When he's offered a job so lucrative that it could secure his daughter's future, he cannot turn it down. It's about to change his life in more ways than one.

Liv just got caught up in her family's mess. Witnessing a murder by a gang, leaves her as a prime target. Now her life depends on her being in Riker's house and under his protection. She's been sheltered her whole life. Treated like a doll to sit and look pretty without teaching her any life skills. Coming from privilege has it's perks and it's draw backs.

Liv is nothing like Riker expected. Happy to learn how to cook and pull her own weight, she continually shocks him. But having a woman back in his home and in his life after so many years, throws Riker for a complete loop.

You can't stop chemistry! And these two just have it in spades. Liv's a sweetheart, always putting everyone's needs before her own. You can't help but love her no matter how hard Riker tries to resist. And Riker's all alpha protectiveness is impossible to resist.

Another great read that will keep you engrossed until the very last page. I was sucked in to all of the action and lovable characters. The men of Enguard Security are just alpha male perfection!
I pressed buy on this book bc of the kid Em but boy this was so boring it took me 2 weeks of pushing myself to read and finish it. The daddy issues were loosely put together and was not interesting. The older druggie, famous sister was just not enough to be interesting. The lead male was boring!!!! The sex scenes were double boring! Glad to be done! The one star was for the hot model cover!!

Soon they have a cover story they need to get straight, at least for the next couple of weeks or until they find whomever wants to harm her.
Riker is trying to be strong and resist the shy, innocent woman he has been tasked to protect. She's not at all what he expected coming from such ridiculous wealth. She's bonding with his daughter, Em. And she's young. Too young for a hardened, cynical, single father trying his best to raise a strong, independent young woman.
Liv is in danger and letting any harm come to her, is not an option for Riker.
What started out as pretend is becoming a little less pretend and more real by the second.
I could go on and on about this book. Liv is stronger than she ever knew she could be. Riker is gruff and surly, but tender and caring also. And Em is just amazing. Em is not only smart but logical and that helps her to understand what is going on and why.
